We are looking for an experienced Ag Portfolio Manager - Delta Row Crops to join our team.
The Ag Portfolio Manager- Delta Row Crops will enlist and work directly with land owners to establish long term financial and environmental objectives while developing a strategy to meet these goals through premier tenant selection, government compliance, crop selection & marketing, financial management, and environmental stewardship.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Work directly with the Business Development Manager in the recruitment of agriculture acres owned by corporate investment funds, absentee landowners, or trust departments into the farm management division.
Become familiar with the farm, farm owner and farm tenants and their expectations for the farm operation.
Make recommendations regarding lease alternatives to the land owner and explain the income potential or shortfall of each as it relates to the land owners financial goals.
Help identify and when necessary recruit the best qualified tenants in the area that can help meet the land owners’ financial goals.
Prepare and present financial and other management reports which include quarterly operation reports and end of the year yield and financial recaps.
Create and implement farming plans with tenants to maximize yields. Evaluates farm operations and makes recommendations for improvements and efficiencies.
Monitor participation and compliance with applicable government programs.
Responsible for commodity marketing planning to include selling, pricing, predicting and establishing futures contracts on behalf of the land owner.
Develop strategic planning that is beneficial to the long term value of the land owners’ property.
Manage and negotiate any additional leases (ex. Timber or hunting) that may provide income opportunity for the land owner

Industry Knowledge -. Knowledge of farm management processes. Knowledge of company products and services as well as company policies and procedures. Language Skills - Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

Education and/or Experience:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited College or University with a minimum of five years farm management experience. An Accredited Farm Manager designation is preferred.
