Sr Certified Appraiser (with Team Lead potential) working with our Willmar, MN or Redwood Falls, MN or Wausau, WI office. Other office locations or an option for hybrid work from home available as well to the right candidate. Willmar listed below due to website requirements.
Conduct high quality and credible real estate appraisals responsively to support client appraisal needs as regulated by state law and in compliance with the Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice (USPAP).
Collect real estate sales information to support appraisal and asset valuation.
Complete appraisals of agricultural properties with minimal supervision and in compliance with FCA regulations and USPAP.
Prepare real estate value studies to support benchmark values; maintain benchmark information.
Support outside fee appraisal service that meets state and industry standards.
Perform technical appraisal reviews for audit.
If serving as Team Lead, provide leadership for assigned staff, including performance management, identification of training needs and personal developmental plans. Promote new software technology in appraisal methods, implement new appraisal techniques, and testing and implementation of software upgrades as required. Manage workflow to determine priorities and ensure appropriate resource allocation.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree in business related field.
Certified General Appraiser license.
Five or more years of experience as a professional agriculture certified appraiser with skills in land and building valuation, using the three approaches to value.
A designation from a nationally professional appraiser’s organization that is a member of the Appraisal Foundation. Candidates working towards a designation will be considered.
Annual completion of continuing education credits as required in appraisal subjects which carry recertification credit with one of the appraisal organization members of the Appraisal Foundation.
Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
Valid driver’s license or evidence of equivalent mobility.
Strong knowledge of the agricultural industry and the appraisal process.
